Expect to see the Big Five, a launch trip to the bottom of the falls plus a hike to the top of the falls. From Murchison, you'll head to Kibale Forest National Park for chimp tracking. This five-day Mount Elgon adventure takes you through the mountain's changing landscapes to Wagagai Peak, the highest point of Mount Elgon. The Sasa Trail is the most direct route to the summit and offers an exciting combination of steep climbs, bamboo forest, heath and moorland, giant lobelias, waterfalls and sweeping views across eastern Uganda. The itinerary includes an acclimatisation and preparation day before the main climb. It is best suited to travellers with good fitness who are comfortable with long trekking days and basic mountain camping.
